With three decades of operational and leadership experience, Andy boasts a proven history of success with prominent brands in the Retail and Leisure sectors across both the UK and the USA. He held director-level positions, overseeing substantial commercial and operational teams and coaching individuals at all corporate levels until 2013. His roles included Divisional Director at William Hill, where he introduced a strategic business planning methodology to provide clarity and direction through individual goals, and collaborated with senior stakeholders to establish a foundation for change and superior customer service. As Regional Director for Currys, he spearheaded business transformation by focusing on customer engagement, personnel development, store operational standards, key performance indicators, and cost management. At PC World, he aligned a team around a regional vision, leading to excellent store standards, the best customer experience in the chain, and surpassed profit targets. His tenure as Regional Vice President for WH Smith USA involved relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, where he led area managers overseeing multiple airport and hotel locations. In this capacity, he successfully increased profits and reduced costs to mitigate the impact of 9/11 on the business, while also forging strong relationships with airport authorities and business partners. Earlier, as an Airports Area Manager for WH Smith UK, he managed multi-site airport store managers, cultivated a culture of change, elevated operational standards, enhanced customer service focus, and exceeded sales targets, developing robust connections with BAA. Since transitioning from the corporate world, Andy established AHC Ltd, offering coaching and consultancy services to individuals, teams, and organizations, empowering them to maximize their potential by achieving and exceeding their goals. He also provides coaching and training as an Associate for leading UK consultancies. Andy's areas of expertise include Executive Coaching, Facilitation, Leadership Development, High-Performance Team Development, Customer Experience, Transformation and Behavioral Change. He is an MBTI 1 & 2 Practitioner, adept at designing and delivering bespoke programs. His professional qualifications include ICF Associate Certified Coach, Business NLP Practitioner, MBTI Type 1 & 2 Practitioner, ILM Leader as a Coach accreditation, and Certified John Maxwell Coach, Trainer, Speaker, and Executive Director. Andy has recently engaged with clients across diverse sectors such as Retail & Sales, Property, Restaurants & Leisure, Services, Manufacturing & Technology, and other industries including finance, legal, and international organizations. In his voluntary capacity, Andy has participated in International Transformational Leadership trips with the John Maxwell Team, teaching leadership values in Costa Rica and Paraguay. He also serves as a Mentor for The Prince's Trust, assisting young people in securing employment, education, or training.
