It can be challenging to balance the demands of caring for others with your own well-being. With twenty years of experience supporting children and young people as an educator, foster parent, and mother, I understand the complexities involved, particularly when a child struggles with daily expectations. My expertise lies in supporting neurodivergent individuals and those who have experienced trauma. For thirteen years of my teaching career, I worked in a Pupil Referral Unit, assisting children who faced exclusion or difficulties attending mainstream schools. I continue to provide some sessions in a specialized educational setting for children unable to attend regular schools due to various circumstances. Additionally, I have seven years of experience as a foster carer. Finding the time for reflection and gaining fresh perspectives is crucial in these demanding roles, yet often scarce. This is where coaching can be profoundly helpful. Enhanced clarity and a calmer mindset empower you to approach challenges with greater confidence and effectiveness. Ultimately, when you are thriving, those you care for also benefit.
