Ross Nichols is a dedicated professional within the coaching community, actively contributing to the advancement of the field. He played a key role in developing the International Coach Federation's (ICF) mentor-coaching competency framework, unveiled in October 2024. He also contributes to the ongoing creation of the ICF Body of Knowledge, a foundational resource for the coaching profession. His expertise has been featured in the Institute of Directors’ Growing Business Handbook, where he authored sections on Coaching and Mentoring, Leadership for Performance, and Authentic Leadership for Growth. Furthermore, Ross has authored three e-books tailored for coaches: "Business Start-up Tips for Coaches," "Insights for the Coaching Journey," and "Coaching the Human." He also established the Poetry for Coaching initiative and served as editor for the "Anthology Poetry for Coaching," released in November 2024. Known for his creative and insightful approach, Ross employs a Transpersonal coaching methodology. His practice focuses on exploring clients' values, energy, vitality, and spiritual dimensions. He possesses a particular interest in guiding individuals through their "shadow side," viewing this area as a potent source for learning and personal transformation. Ross is the founder and facilitator of the Salisbury Coaching Circle and NLP Group, and he serves as an Ambassador for the International Coach Federation (UK). Since 2016, he has been the organizer of Salisbury International Coaching Week, an annual gathering. His leadership extends to directing the Cancer Coaching Community and the Creative Coaching Collective, and he also provides wellbeing coaching services for Macmillan.
