Sula Bruce

ICF Certified Coach

Location: South West

Sula Bruce offers coaching focused on the interplay of identity, leadership, and periods of significant change. Clients often seek her guidance during times of transition, such as a change in role, a career path no longer feeling aligned, a dip in confidence, a return to work after an absence, or shifts in their broader environment. Sula facilitates a process of deliberate pause, creating mental space for clarity, reconnection with core values, and intentional decision-making regarding how individuals lead, work, and live. As an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Sula brings a robust background in senior leadership, project management, facilitation, and mental health support. Prior to her coaching certification, she held senior leadership positions, including Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer for UN Women UK’s National Committee. Her earlier career involved extensive experience as an Event Director, conceptualizing and executing large-scale international conferences and trade shows focused on critical global issues like aid, international development, climate action, and sustainable development. These roles provided her with invaluable firsthand experience in high-pressure leadership, navigating complex stakeholder landscapes, and driving large-scale, mission-oriented initiatives. Currently, Sula coaches individuals, teams, and groups, working effectively with a wide range of leaders, from C-suite executives to new managers taking on senior responsibilities. She has a particular passion for empowering ambitious women as they advance into leadership roles, cultivate greater confidence, amplify their voices, and navigate the often subtle dynamics associated with increased responsibility and visibility. Her coaching expertise has been applied within leadership development programs for prominent organizations including Publicis Media Groupe, the Greater London Authority, AXA Global Healthcare, and She Leads Change. Complementing her coaching practice, Sula also serves as a Mental Health Occupational Therapy Assistant with Purpose People. This role equips her with practical, grounded experience in supporting individuals navigating mental health challenges and neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism. This integrated perspective shapes her coaching approach to be trauma-informed, inclusive, and attuned to the individual’s holistic well-being. Clients consistently describe Sula’s coaching style as warm, grounded, insightful, and gently provocative. She cultivates environments that foster psychological safety for open dialogue, while simultaneously encouraging clients to step outside their comfort zones, explore new possibilities, and take ownership of their future path. Her keen attention to underlying patterns, language, and unspoken elements, combined with a collaborative stance, builds trust in each client’s innate ability to forge their own way forward. At the core of Sula’s work is a straightforward aim: to empower individuals to perform their best, with enhanced clarity, self-assurance, and a harmonious alignment between their authentic selves and their leadership approach.
